PerkinElmer JANUS Featured in CNBC Broadcast

BREAKING NEWS:  JANUS Automated Workstation featured in CNBC Broadcast on

"Ocean Drugs"

Today, CNBC TV ran a news report on scientists at the University of California/Santa Cruz, who told them of the fascinating work they were engaged in searching for 'ocean drugs", utilising PerkinElmer's JANUS Automated Workstation.  The researchers were diving to the sea floor, taking samples, and screening them through the JANUS in search of novel compounds.  The segment prominently mentions PerkinElmer and JANUS, showing both our logo and the automation workstation in action, and references Wyeth and NIH as customers.

The researchers also credit JANUS with doing in minutes what it took them months to do, in terms of automating their search for effective compounds against key disease states, and directly credit us with helping find potential new compounds relevant to possible future drugs for breast cancer and cholera.
