Topics:
Description: IR Spectroscopy is a frequently used tool for the routine testing of the identification and conformation for materials used in a wide range of manufacturing processes. The software used to develop libraries and methods for testing of these materials is often a secondary consideration when specifying an IR materials testing solution but does have a large impact on the cost to implement and maintain the system. The advantages and disadvantages to different software approaches will be discussed. The key steps in the implementation of a materials testing solution will be covered with examples of ways to maximize productivity as well as identifying common problem areas.
Audience: Laboratory managers and supervisors responsible for IR instrumentation used for routine materials testing.
Presenter: Rupert Aries is an Analytical Chemist with over 15 years experience of IR spectroscopy and spectroscopy software (including chemometrics) developing products and solutions for IR applications. Rupert has been involved in all areas of product development including preparation of and participation in customer training courses.
