What your quotation is based on
We base your quotation for a custom synthesis on three major process components: labor, materials, and waste disposal. Generally, the greater the difficulty involved in a particular project, the greater the labor component, especially if our chemists have to research a synthetic pathway. But if you provide a precursor - the synthetic route or analytical method, for example - your quoted price may be lower. Your quotation will also reflect the costs associated with safely and legally disposing of any radioactive waste generated during the radiochemical synthesis process.
Recognized ISO 9002 and GMP capability
PerkinElmer manufactures custom products under an ISO 9002 quality system. We document all production and quality procedures, ensuring reliable traceability. Our Organic Synthesis and Fermentation Labeling Labs will synthesize 14C, 3H, and 35S radiochemicals under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards at your request. If your project requires GMP, we'll conduct the synthesis to your specifications, with the required documentation. Specify GMP and other special requirements during your initial quote request.
Storage and shipment of radiolabeled material: Your alternatives
If the radioactivity levels of your order exceed your license limit, as specified by your national regulatory agency, PerkinElmer may be able to store your excess material for later delivery (allow two weeks).**
