PerkinElmer human BAC arrays enable genome wide detection of chromosomal copy number changes in less than two working days. Our arrays display high sensitivity with low background, facilitating easy image analysis and interpretation. DNA (obtained from blood, amniotic fluid, chronic villi, fresh tissue, formalin-fixed parafin embedded (FFPE) tissue, stem cell or single cell samples) is analyzed by hybridization to PerkinElmer proprietary BAC clones.

PerkinElmer microarray products are to be used together with PerkinElmer aCGH reagents. The results are analyzed with SpectralWare® aCGH Array Analysis Software. Positive results can be confirmed with BAC DNA from clones that show a change in copy number.

Constitutional Chip 4.0 focuses on gains and losses in well characterized chromosomal regions as well as de novo events throughout the whole genome. Enhanced detection of more than 90 well characterized chromosomal regions and more than 900 subtelomere clones for improved coverage of subtelomeric regions in addition to pericentromeric coverage and a near to tiling X chromosome.
