CHO PhotoScreen® cell line co-expressing the human P2X purinoceptor 1 (P2X₁) ATP-gated cation channel and the photoprotein Photina® for flash-luminescence assays. The kit contains two vials of cryopreserved CHO PhotoScreen P2RX1 cells. The technical data sheet includes detailed cell line information as well as culture conditions and a protocol for the LumiLux® Cellular Screening Platform. The CHO PhotoScreen P2RX1 cell line has also been validated on the FLIPR^TETRA® system.

The P2X₁ cation channel is involved in a number of therapeutic areas including control of the lower genitourinary tract function (male fertility, urinary bladder, prostatic hyperplasia), vaso-constriction, inflammation and thrombosis.
