Iodination with Lactoperoxidase, [125I]- or [131I]-
With this method, lactoperoxidase catalyzes the oxidation of iodide using hydrogen peroxide as the enzyme substrate. It is a milder oxidative technique than Chloramine-T, which requires the presence of a tyrosine.
